Underscoring its commitment to incorporate the very latest technologies into the design of its award-winning architectural speakers, SpeakerCraft, the premier audio brand from Core Brands, today announced that it is developing one of the industry’s first lines of architectural in-wall speakers incorporating Dolby® Atmos-enabled technology. SpeakerCraft’s all-new Dolby Atmos-enabled Architectural In-Wall Speaker series was unveiled at CEDIA 2015 at Core Brands Booth #4128 in the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, Texas.
According Matt Dever, Core Brands Product Manager, Audio, this marks the first development of an architectural in-wall speaker system and components that can meet all of the standards set by Dolby to certified Atmos-enabled. This series also represents the first in-wall products for SpeakerCraft’s award-winning AIM Series 2 line. “These new in-wall speakers will deliver the true object-based surround performance, ideal for when in-ceiling speakers are not an option,” Dever said. “This gives our dealers another great option for exceeding their customers’ needs. The LCR and Height Speakers will also be sold individually, enabling installers to upgrade an existing in-wall speaker system to an Atmos-enabled system.”
The Atmos Series builds upon key technologies of the SpeakerCraft AIM Series 2 family of in-ceiling speakers. The Arrayed Point Source (APS) tweeters are the next evolution of the ARC Tweeter Array introduced with the in-ceiling AIM Series 2. Additionally, the Atmos-enabled series will feature Acoustic Isolation Technology™ introduced with AIM Series 2, plus driver materials and electronics introduced in the award-winning line.
Suggested retail prices for the new SpeakerCraft Dolby Atmos-enabled in-wall speakers will be announced when the line is delivered to dealers. For more information, visit Core Brands at CEDIA 2015 in Booth #4128.
