PhotoSavings.com Wins Autographed Hagstrom Fantomen Guitar in KMC Dealer Promotion!

KMC Music, the industry leading distributor of musical instruments, pro audio products, and accessories, today announced that Brooklyn, New York based retailer PhotoSavings.com is the lucky winner of a Hagstrom guitar autographed by Ghost front man Cardinal Copia. PhotoSavings.com was selected at random from a pool of KMC dealers who ordered six in-stock Hagstrom guitars between May 15 and May 31, 2019.

The Grammy Award-winning Swedish rockers Ghost have quickly become one of the world’s top metal bands, with sold out tours and a worldwide fanbase that includes legendary rockers and musicians of all stripes. The Hagstrom Fantomen guitar was custom designed through a collaboration between Hagstrom and the Swedish metal band, and is a highly recognizable on stage with the bands two Nameless Ghoul guitar players. The band is currently opening for Metallica on its WorldWired Tour until July 13, 2019, before embarking on their own official tour, “The Ultimate Tour Named Death”, on September 13, 2019.

“This exciting promotion was designed for the right guitar brand at the right time, given the growing success and popularity of both Hagstrom Guitars and GHOST,” KMC Vice President of Merchandising Roger Hart said. “This is another great example of how KMC creates sales promotions that benefit dealers and musicians while staying up-to-date with the latest gear and popularity trends in the music industry.”

A collaboration between the design team at Hagstrom and the Swedish band Ghost, Fantomen (Swedish for “The Phantom”) transports Hagstrom’s legendary playability and technical excellence into a new, edgier realm. The collaboration started with an elegantly asymmetrical solid-mahogany body to which was joined a mahogany neck using a classic mortise-and-tenon neck joint system. Of course, since it’s a Hagstrom, the Fantomen uses the H-Expander® truss rod and Resinator® fingerboard, providing the ultimate in playing surface stability and optimal tonal enhancement. Together these components create an incredibly stable, resonant and responsive sonic foundation.

The Hagstrom Fantomen relies on a thin 1.25” body style and a larger-than-average 25.5” scale to provide sharper attack and sustain while remaining surprisingly lightweight and excellently balanced. Working with Swedish pickup guru Johan Lundgren, the Hagstrom design team used a No. 2 humbucker in the neck and a No. 5 in the bridge, resulting in an immense expressive range that meets the needs of even the most extreme musical styles.
