Oscar Schmidt Debuts Two New Guitars at Winter NAMM 2017!

Kicking off its 2017 sales and marketing program, Oscar Schmidt Guitars today announced the immediate market introduction of two new models at Winter NAMM 2017.

“The introduction of these two new Oscar Schmidt models extends a tradition of fine guitar making that dates back to 1871,” Oscar Schmidt Vice President & General Manager Gil Soucy said today.  “Both new models feature the same commitment to craftsmanship, finish, tone, and playability that have made the line a favorite of musicians everywhere for nearly 150 years.  We’re excited to make these two new models available to our dealers.”

Leading the way for the iconic guitar brand that has been around since 1871 is the new Oscar Schmidt Flag Guitar (OG10CEFLAG), which literally is designed to let players fully express their patriotism! This concert-sized, cut-away guitar is a special edition model that features a graphic of the American flag. The acoustic/electric Flag Guitar includes Barcus Berry 4-band EQ with a built-in tuner and black die-cast tuning machines.  The guitar carries a suggested retail price of $399.90 and is available for delivery to dealers at the end of the month.

Also available for delivery at the end of the month is the new Oscar Schmidt Quarter-Sized (OGQS) steel string guitar that is ideal for youngsters just starting out their musical journey. Building on the tradition of the Oscar Schmidt line of best selling small-sized guitars, this new guitar model features an overall length of 30-inches and body dimensions of 14”L X 10-1/2”W at lower bout X 3-3/4”D.  The model’s nut width is 38mm.  It features chrome die-cast tuners and a spruce top and mahogany back and sides.  The new guitar features a suggested retail price of $204.90.
