KMC Music Appointed to Serve as the Exclusive United States Distributor of LÂG Guitars

Appointment is part of an exclusive North American distribution agreement with JAM Industries.

Pointing to the company’s unmatched scale, resources and broad-based network of resellers, LÂG Guitars has appointed KMC Music, the industry-leading value-added distributor of musical instruments and accessories, to serve as its exclusive United States distribution partner for its award-winning line of acoustic guitars.

According to KMC Music Vice President of Merchandising Roger Hart, the United States appointment is part of a larger North American distribution agreement with KMC parent company, JAM Industries.

“LÂG Guitars clearly understood the benefits to be gained by working with a single distribution partner that can reach deeply across all of the United States and Canada in a way that can’t be matched by any other distributor,” Hart said today. “The combination of JAM owned Coast Wholesale in Canada and KMC Music in the United States offers LÂG an unprecedented opportunity to present their exquisitely designed and crafted line of guitars to more resellers and consumers than ever before. We look forward to presenting their line to our resellers at Winter NAMM 2019.”

LÂG Guitars are being showcased by KMC Music throughout Winter NAMM 2019 in Booth #6814 in Hall B. At Winter NAMM 2019 LÂG Guitars is introducing its next generation of acoustic —the LÂG HyVibe “smart guitar.” The HyVibe on-board technology will truly revolutionize the acoustic guitar. The guitarist can experience a full array of effects, looping and sampling without even plugging in, and parameters of all of this can be controlled by Bluetooth and a smartphone.

From its inception in 1981 as a guitar workshop in the heart of the Occitan country in France, LÂG Guitars has grown to become a world-renowned manufacturer of acoustic guitars and ukuleles that feature exquisite design and craftsmanship and environmentally sustainable tone woods such as Canadian spruce, cedar, Engelmann spruce and Tropical Kayha. Furthermore, all LÂG acoustic models have state of the art Fishman or LÂG proprietary electronics. The line-up includes Tramontane® folk guitars, Occitania® classical guitars and Tiki ukuleles.

LÂG Guitars enjoy the support of a global range of artists that include Cliff William from AC/DC, Phil Campbell from Motorhead, and Dweezil Zappa to name a few.

“For retailers looking to present their customers with a line of guitars that possesses a singular brand image steeped in French design, they can’t do any better than the LÂG line of guitars featuring precise playability combined with deep and rich tones,” Hart emphasized.

Gérard Garnier, President of ALGAM, owner of LÂG guitars and PLEYEL pianos, commented on the appointment, noting that, “We are so excited to join forces with JAM Industries, for whom we have had the greatest respect for so many years. KMC and JAM have a long history of successfully bringing guitar brands to market, and this is the appropriate time for LÂG in the United States.  We brought beautiful and innovative designs to these guitars while Maurice Dupont, one of France’s best luthiers, brought them the sound they deserve which makes these new LAG guitars extraordinary instruments.”
