Building on the opening of its regional headquarters in Shenzhen, China, the new appointment of Korean Country Manager reaffirms Dirac’s commitment to develop the Asian marketplace.
Demonstrating its rapidly expanding growth worldwide, Dirac Research, the global leader in digitally-optimized sound solutions, today announced the appointment of Michael Yeom as Country Manager – Korea. According to Dirac Co-Founder and CEO Dr. Mathias Johansson, Yeom is responsible for business development and sales in Korea across all Dirac business units, including high performance, automotive, mobile, and XR.
“Korea has long been an epicenter for innovation in all categories of consumer technology – and this innovation presents Dirac with tremendous business opportunities that we fully intend to develop,” said Johansson. “With Michael’s extensive knowledge of the market, audio experience, and industry connections, we’re poised to develop a regional business center that’s on par with our operations in China, Europe, and North America.”
Michael Yeom has over a decade of experience working with audio signal processing companies, such as Arkamys, Audyssey, and SRS Labs, in various sales and business development capacities. Throughout his tenure with these companies, he’s collaborated with leading Korean consumer technology companies such as Samsung, LG and Hyundai. Yeom earned a Bachelor of Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Kunsan National University in South Korea.
“Dirac’s reputation as a pioneer in audio optimization knows no geographic boundaries,” stated Yeom. “Their technology is simply the best-in-class across virtually every product category. I look forward to leveraging my industry experience, technological proficiency, and regional business relationships to further establish Dirac as the go-to audio solution for leading Korean consumer technology companies across all product categories.”
The strategic Korean market hire is the most recent in a series of major 2018 regional corporate developments, including the appointment of a China Country Manager, Tony Ye; the opening of Dirac China, its regional headquarters in Shenzhen; and licensing agreements with some of Asia’s largest consumer technology brands.
