In an effort to support the Toronto community, Advanced, Canada’s leading AV integrator, today announced its partnership with the Salvation Army’s 2016 CTV Toy Mountain, a campaign that provides struggling families in the Greater Toronto area with access to new toys during the holiday season.
“We are honored to contribute to a campaign that makes such a huge difference for many struggling families who want to provide their children with gifts,” said Advanced President David Weatherhead. “All of our employees are getting involved with the on-site Toy Drive. Thus far, we have collected over 60 toys, and plan to collect many, many more throughout the month!”
Through the Salvation Army, CTV Toy Mountain donations are regularly collected at major malls, and are then transported to The Salvation Army Food & Toy Distribution Warehouse. They are then given to the “Family Services Centre,” where the staff creates a “Christmas Store” with the inventory. Parents of registered families come to the “Christmas Store” and choose toys and educational items for their children with the help of a volunteer host.
“All of us in the AV community have the power to make a difference,” Weatherhead concluded. “At Advanced, we strive to do we can to give back to the Toronto community that we are proud to be a part of.”
