Griffin had a multi-dimensional challenge – to communicate a convention-defying technology that can revolutionize global supply chains while educating the media and positioning Wiliot as the unquestioned innovator behind it.
BACKGROUND
The Internet of Things (IoT) is one of those technologies whose hype exceeded its impact. Even after decades, the IoT was the Internet of Expensive Things – smartphones, appliances, cars, pacemakers, and more.
The trillions of inexpensive, everyday things that move through supply chains were not part of the revolution. The democratization moment awaited.
ENTER WILIOT AND THE AMBIENT IoT
Wiliot invented a tiny, stamp-sized, computer, radically affordable that can allows “every thing” to gain intelligence and be internet-connected.
Fruits, vaccines, apparel, airplane parts, and more are able to stream data that is essential to efficient supply chain operation, like location, temperature, humidity, even carbon footprint. This platform is described as the Ambient IoT – because it captures what is there in a passive form, all around us – ambient – and activates it through the IoT.
As the global supply chain moves from dark to illuminated, everything changes.
Produce stays fresher longer – 9 percent of climate change comes from food waste – delivery routes become more efficient; stock-checks transition from daily to real-time, resulting in supply chains with lower carbon footprints; inventory management goes from blunt to precise.

Griffin was hired because of our track record of generating awareness and communicating the narrative of novel, transformative technology paradigms.
Our initial and ongoing mission: to communicate the power and potential of Wiliot’s ambient IoT Visibility Platform to establish the game-changing nature of the technology and the company’ leadership to key stakeholders. Those included the C-Suite, Boards of Directors, IT, and supply chain leaders of the world’s largest companies.
With a focus on first-tier media and critical technology trade publications, we successfully introduced the company and its platform to the world. Our broad-scale program resulted in feature stores, broadcast interviews, podcasts, contributed editorials, and awards from Time and Fast Company.
